MEKSEA.COM – According to the Vietnam Association of Seafood Exporters and Producers (VASEP), as of mid-May, Vietnam’s pangasius exports to Mexico reached 45.6 million USD, an increase 70% compared to the same period last year, equivalent to 4.3% of the total of pangasius export revenue.

As a result, Mexico is one of the potential pangasius export markets in America Latin. Now, Vietnam exports major 2 kinds of pangasius to Mexico such as frozen pangasius fillet and frozen pangasius steak.

Pangasius exports to the Mexican market account for the largest proportion of the CPTTP market group. Pangasius export value to Mexico in the first half of this year is rare 35% of the total value of the whole bloc.

Moreover, according to statistics, as of mid-May, Vietnam’s frozen pangasius fillet export prices increase from 2.6 t to 2.76 USD/kg. Therefore, the Mexican market has been paid attention to by Vietnamese pangasius businesses.

In the 2nd quarter of 2022, there are 20 Vietnamese seafood businesses, along with many large capacity factories in Delta Mekong concentrate on exporting pangasius to Mexico.
