It’s forecasted that Vietnam’s seafood exports will be over 11 billion USD in 2022
MEKSEA.COM – In general, in the first 5 months of 2022, Vietnam’s seafood exports reached 4.7 billion USD, up 43.69% over the same period in 2021.
According to statistics from the General Department of Customs, in May 2022, Vietnam’s seafood export turnover reached 1.06 billion USD. Noticeably, first 5 months of 2022, Vietnam’s seafood exports significantly increase compared to the same period last year. Accumulated 5 months reached 4.7 billion USD, increasing 43.69% over the same period.
In May, Vietnam’s seafood export turnover to most major markets increased, especially, Vietnam’s seafood exports to the Chinese market have been recovering strongly.
The US and China are still the two largest seafood import markets and have the highest growth rate in Vietnam in the first 5 months, equivalent to 20.4% and 10.6% to 23.2% and 12.1%, respectively.

It is forecasted that in the third quarter of 2022, Vietnam’s seafood exports will continue to maintain a strong increase compared to the same period in 2021. Export turnover can maintain 1 billion USD/month, possibly exceeding 11 billion USD in 2022.
